I’m very sensitive to the environment, and in particular the seasons.

Today was the first day of September, and it really felt like autumn was around the corner. The change in light, the crispness of the air and the length of the day.

I think September is my favourite month.

I’d love to shoot Jennifer Lopez. But she wouldn’t look like this. She’d look pretty incredible and pretty intense. In a way that would make her ‘people’ shit their pants.

I like to think that the most beautiful people want to look gritty and real sometimes. Well, the interesting ones, anyhow.

Beautiful and interesting. Who wouldn’t want to be thought of as those two things?

C’mon, J-Lo, make that call. I’m waiting.

Long Weekend

Easter’s on its way. I remember at my old job I used to take a day off either side of the bank holiday weekend and thus have a super-extended, 12″ remix of a weekend. I couldn’t work out why no-one else thought of doing the same… Perhaps I was just more cleverer than they were.

Not entirely sure what I shall be doing this year. I’d like to do a shoot. Something different.

I may just end up watching Doctor Who.

Moonlit

Actually, this shot was taken in some glorious golden sunlight (I’ll no doubt post more shots from this session later, so you’ll see).

However, a couple of them had a slightly eerie feeling of being lit by the moon, this one in particular. I’m pretty sure Laura’s expression helped give that impression.

A shift in the white balance reduced the orange/red of the sunset and made it more plausable, but I’ve posted it here in black and white anyway. ‘Fool’ you may be thinking, but the way I do my black and white conversions takes the starting colour balance into consideration.

I ain’t no foo’.
